It’s hard to believe we are in 2012 already! Things here at FPA&B continue to grow and change, like a newborn that keeps surprising us with little giggles and efforts at crawling. We have lots of goals and dreams for this little babe and we’re excited to be sharing them with you!
Another First Friday is approaching, the first FF of the new year in fact, and we are proud to be opening an exhibit containing work by local photographers, David Slivka and Raylene Jordan. Their work, ranging from landscape to architecture to people, captures natural beauty and brings the ordinary to life.
David was born in Chicago and raised here in Indiana with a heart for traveling. He has been a photographer for 18 years now, and has ventured far and wide for his photos. “Taking long road trips or going over seas to capture my images is my passion.”
David’s work definitely reflects his passion; click here to see more.
Raylene was born in Los Angeles, and has grown up in various places around the US. “To my surprise,” she states, “Indianapolis has become home.” Raylene holds a Masters in Library Science and currently works with Indianapolis Marion County Public Library. Art has been her passion and focus in the rare spare moments she could find as a working wife and mother.
These two are clearly talented photographers. Please join us on First Friday, January 6th, for an artist reception from 6-9p. The artists will be available for questions and their work available for purchase.
